Class 2A: Step 4: Traffic Police

Same as Class 2B Traffic Police.
Come down at 7:45am to get your number.
At 8am, you will process to warm up and ride 2-3 laps of circuits until 8:30am.
after that, you will have to go back to office for briefing and ask questions if you have any.
Until 10am, traffic police test start.
Wait for your number to be called up to go for test.
There are 4 traffic police testers. Wait for them to call you before you ride off.
1. At starting point
2. S course
3. Plank course
4. E-Brake course

Don't be nervous.
As long as you remember during your practical riding and evaluation test, you can do it.
And remember, most importantly is to CHECK BLINDSPOT BEFORE RIDING OFF!

I got 6 points.
2 points due to signal at bad timing (not sure which area did i signal at bad timing)
2 points due to braking during the bend (the car in front was tooooooooo slow during the bend like 12-15km/h!)
2 points due to wide turning. (blame my weak body that unable to handle heavy class 2a bike)

So now, i'll be back after a year when i take up Class 2.
All the best to you guys for taking up Class 2A!

Class 2A: Step 3: Evaluation Test 3.01

Firstly the instructor will tell you to go 2 rounds of lap before returning to start point.
During the 2 rounds of lap as warm up, if you're lucky, he may be there to check on you and correct your mistakes.
It was my 3rd retake.
The first test was 26 points
Second test was 24 points.
And third test was 12 points.
You need below 20 points to pass Class 2A.

The first & second test i took, it was all about failing to check blindspot.
You need to check 3/4 sides of blindspot before moving off.
It's not the same as you took Class 2B.
There are even more things to check.
So do pay attention to instructor when he mentions about blindspot.

The third test i took which i passed, i got 12 points.
It was due to improper of checking blindspot.
I checked twice of blindspot which was unnecessary (I think because everytime said i failed to check blindspot so i checked twice instead)
Lastly, fail to look out for traffic was at the traffic junction.
I was supposed to check blindspot, left and right side before moving off but i checked blindspot then ride off while checking left and right side.

But i still glad to pass the 5 important things which are:
1) S and Crank
2) Plank and Pylon
3) E-Brake
4) Bump
5) Slope

Once you passed evaluation test, you can process to book TP.
It can take up to 1 month so while waiting for TP to come, you can book RC (Circuit Revision) in case you forget how to check and ride inside circuit.

Class 2A: Step 2: Practical 2.01

It will be the last practical stage before taking evaluation test.

The instructor will bring you all out for 3 rounds of lap.
Always pay attention and remember where to go.
After few rounds of lap, the main focus will be S, Crank, E-Brake and Bump course.

For S, you need to exit before 11 seconds.
For Crank, you need to exit before 6 seconds.
For E-Brake, stop in between of white and yellow line (you'll see once you're there)
For bump, you need to exit after 6 seconds.

I won't be guiding for S, Crank and E-brake as it's the same as class 2B.
So for bump, it's almost the same as Plank.
Hold half clutch, 1/5 throttle, press foot-brake on and off, stand as tall as you can and both of your knee hug the tank.
Don't have to go over bumps too fast. Can take your time but not too slow as you will definitely fall out from bike or engine stall because too slow. (I passed at one go!)

Class 2A: Step 1: Practical 1.01

This time you will be riding a Class 2A bike.
Check signal, brake, honk before selecting a bike, just like what you have learned during Class 2B.

The instructor will bring you all out for 3 rounds of the lap.
Always pay attention and remember where to go.
Be sure to check blindspot and signal.
After few rounds of lap, the main focus will be Plank and Pylon.

For Plank, you need to exit after 8 seconds.
For Pylon, you need to exit before 6 seconds.

I retook once as i'm not used with bike from BBDC.
The mistakes was i made few of wide turning, the clutch was so hard to press,
so far to reach clutch's lever and the bike was so big.
But honestly, i was too used to riding my own class 2b small bike.
So if you own a big bike of Class 2B (Honda CB150R, Yamaha FZ 150cc, RS4 125), you will pass easily.

Class 2A: Enrolment

After a year of probation, i finally enrolled into Class 2A.
They only need both of your IC and Driving licence.
After they open your account, you can process to book for 2A Theory lesson which is compulsory.

Step 1: BTL -> BTP -> BTE -> BTT

Hi everyone, it's for those who are keen to learn Class 2B Motorbike.
I enrolled in BBDC from the start of January 2016 and will be sharing my experiences here.
I'll keep it short and easier for you to read.

1. You can either enrol online from https://www.bbdc.sg/bbdc/OnlineEnrolSchool/Class2.aspx or at BBDC counter.
2. Attend BTL - Basic Theory Lesson (2 lessons. It's a must to attend.)
3. Apply BTP - Basic Theory Practice (Up to you how many times you want to take.)
4. Apply BTE - Pass Basic Theory Evaluation first before taking BTT.
5. Apply BTT - Basic Theory Test can take up to 1 month for available slot.

BTE - Passed on 5th Jan 2016
BTT - Passed on 26th Jan 2016

PS: I'll share my method to you how to pass BTT easily.
Firstly after you attended BTL, try to find a date to take 1 or 2 slots of BTP to remember every questions/answers as possible and then take BTE on the same date right after you finished BTP.

As for BTT, you can also take 1 slot of BTP first before taking BTT on same date if you want to pass well.

Step 2: RTL -> RTP -> RTE -> RTT

Almost same as Step 1.

After passing BTT,
1. Attend RTL - Riding Theory Lesson (2 lessons. It's a must to attend.)
2. Apply RTP - Riding Theory Practice (Up to you how many times you want to take.)
3. Apply RTE - Pass Riding Theory Evaluation before taking RTT.
4. Apply RTT - Riding Theory Test can take up to 1 month for available slot.

RTE - Passed on 10th Feb 2016
RTT - Passed on 22th Feb 2016

PS: I'll share my method to you how to pass RTT easily.
Firstly after you attended RTL, try to find a date to take 1 or 2 slots of RTP to remember every questions/answers as possible and then take RTE on the same date right after you finished RTP.

As for RTT, you can also take 1 slot of RTP first before taking RTT on same date if you want to pass well.
